Everyone is rightly more aware of how their information is used and the Jedi Archives will never sell your information on to 3rd parties and we’ll only pass on information as part of carrying out your order, if required, with our suppliers for example. We won’t bombard you email 100 emails a day and we won’t pester you, unless you want us to.

You can subscribe to our mailing list as we know you’ll want to know when stock comes in but if you ever change your mind, you can unsubscribe at anytime, we won’t take it personally!

This privacy policy sets out how we use and protect any information that you give us when you use this website, in line with our responsibilities under both the GDPR and Data Protection Acts.

We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

We may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. 

What we collect

We may collect the following information:

  • name, company name (if applicable) and address
  • contact information including email address

What we do with the information we gather

We require this information to process your order and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • Internal record keeping.
  • Contacting you if there is a query regarding your order.
  • Informing you of the progress of your order (order confirmation, delivery tracking information).
  • Fulfilling your order.
  • We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided – but only if you have consented to this.

Controlling your personal information

The right to access;

You can access the data we hold about you by logging into your account at any time.  If you are unable to log in you may email the request to us.

The right to rectification;

You can change any information stored about you within the Personal Information section of your account. 

Personal data stored within your order(s) remains unchanged if you change your personal information within your account.  This can be changed, upon request, subject to any relevant laws.

The right to be forgotten;

Under the new rules everyone has the right to be forgotten on websites.  If you are subscribed to our email newsletters you can click on the Unsubscribe link.  You can also request that your account information be deleted. Please be aware, your details will still remain on any orders you have placed due to VAT regulations. This is because VAT records must be kept for at least six years from the date of creation (VAT Act 1994 and HMRC Notice 700/21 October 2013).

Marketing Consent;

During the checkout you may be asked to tick a box to consent to receiving e-mail communications for news, new products, special offers etc.  This box is unticked by default, so you will not be opted-in automatically.  If you do tick the box that will be recorded as consent for the purposes of GDPR.  Should you change your mind you can unsubscribe from these emails by clicking the “unsubscribe” option in the e-mail. Alternatively, you can e-mail the request to us.

3rd Parties;

We will only disclose information to 3rd parties where it is required to fulfil you order. For example, the courier will need to know your delivery address in order to deliver your order. Other than that we will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we are required by law to do so.

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.
