Are pre order dates guaranteed?
Unfortunately, we do not guarantee pre order dates as manufacturers only provide us with an estimated release date, which are subject to changes and delays. This can be due to production delays and issues or shipping delays. Many global events such as the war in Ukraine or the escalating attacks in the Red Sea can have a significant impact on both the timeliness and cost of worldwide shipping. In order to avoid passing on the cost to customers, manufacturers and distributors may delay or consolidate shipments.
How can I pay for my pre order?
We aim to offer as much flexibility as possible, whilst helping you budget effectively. Due to the erratic nature and changing dates for pre orders, we do not take pre-authorised card payments as feedback from our customers suggests that this can be hard to budget for. In the event a pre order arrives early, the last thing we want to do is surprise your bank account with a payment you weren’t planning for.
With this in mind, we have a few ways for you to secure your pre order.
Our most popular method is our Jedi Archives Payment Spread, which allows you to pay for your pre order over equal, fixed monthly payments, calculated in line with the estimated release date. There’s no interest to pay and isn’t credit based. Our payment spread aims to help you budget in advance and have your order fully paid for by the release date. The early you order, the longer you can pay over.
If you prefer a shorter term to have your order paid sooner then we also offer services such as Pay In 3 with PayPal. This is an agreement between yourself and PayPal.
Of course, you may prefer to pay in full and have it done! You can pay via most cards types and are completely covered by the usual consumer protections.
Do you ring-fence pre order funds?
Yes. Pre order funds are ring-fenced and stored separately and used solely for that purpose.
When will I get updates about my pre order?
We aim to provide updates as soon as we get them but often, manufacturers won’t release any further information after the initial estimate release date. When delays occur we will approach manufacturers for an update but will often receive no further information. As soon as we receive a ‘concrete’ delivery date we will update the product’s ETA which will trigger an automated email informing you of the update.
We also send out weekly emails in which we will provided any indicative information we have, such as delivery windows or what we are expecting to land in the coming weeks/months. We aim to provide as much information as we can but this isn’t always possible so if you’d like to know about a specific pre order item them please get in touch as we will always give you the most up to date information we have.
When an item is confirmed to be arriving with us, we will update your order to processing and email you, indicating that we are preparing your order for dispatch. This is typically between 5-10 days prior to an item arriving with us. As soon as your order has been dispatched, we’ll confirm this via SMS and email.
What if my address is changing?
You can update your address through your online account and if you have an outstanding pre order with us, please email support@jediarchives.store and request the change. We may ask you for additional information in the interests of security.
